Thinking about attending the HAT training but can't quite cover the costs? No problem! We know that you are a passionate care provider serving in a small, resource strapped organization, and affording continuing education isn't always in the budget. We want to do everything we can to help get you to a HAT training, so here are a few resources to help you raise support for the training.

Donor Outreach
Chances are there are a lot of generous people supporting your work, and they would be excited to fund your continuing education. Maybe you have a few donors in mind who are particularly passionate about art, trauma, or resiliency, or maybe you want to send out a general request to your broad donor base. Either way, here are a few highlights to consider including:

  1. Outline the benefits/objectives of the training
    1. Click here to see a comprehensive list of training objectives
  2. Cast a vision for how the toolkit will help you better serve trauma survivors
  3. Name a goal
    1. Be clear about how much you are raising and how much you are asking each individual to give

Set up a crowdfund page with sites like or Indiegogo to raise the money to cover your registration. No doubt you have big fans who would love to support your work with trauma survivors by making a small $10.00 - $20.00 contribution.

Host A Fundraiser
Think about a small intimate gathering where you can share your heart for the work you do, and why this training is beneficial to you and those you serve. Or go old school and wash some cars or have a bake sale!

Thanks to our generous donors we are able to offer small scholarships to select care-providers who can't secure funds to attend the HAT training.
